Great Places to visit in the US! Created by Beata Furstenberg
Some choices I made were different colors, putting the grid on and putting the unit numbers on each column to make it easier to understand the data.
Answers to the questions:
- Smartphone: How do the charts from the different tools appear on your smartphone? Are there any problems? There are problems and the charts don't look as good as on the computer. It's disappointing.
- Colours: How easy/difficult is it to change colours with the different tools? Flourish wasn't easy at all even though it gave me the option. However, it didn't really work. I liked google my maps- it was very easy and I liked how easy it was.
- Text/labels: How easy/difficult is it to work with text/labels in the different tools? That was really hard with the Datawrapper when trying to put in a box for the two different axis'. Flourish was also challenging but it did work in the end. The easiest was Datawrapper.
- Flexibility: How flexible are the tools? Can you make the changes you want to do? The tools are all very different in certain ways. I feel Google my maps was the easiest but I liked how many options there was with Flourish- if it actually would have worked it would have been great! Hopefully in the future they will work out the slowness and hiccups of the different functions.
- Accessibility: Which different options for accessibility do the tools have? I feel the tools are different and have different functions. The Flourish has lots of option but is not easy to use. I will probably use the different tools depending on what I want to achieve. They are great tools!
Conclusion
What are the main benefits of:
- Datawrapper? Easy to upload the data and to publish it.
- Infogram? Were very easy to use.
- Flourish? Lot's of options- would be amazing if it actually worked as advertised. Hopefully one day it will!
