Academic background: Bachelor in journalism and one year of physical therapy studies
Work background: I have been working as a reporter at local newspapers and at a running magazine. In total I have about one year of experience as a reporter.
Before that I have worked with geotechnical measurements in the Gothenburg area for three years. I have been a orienteering coach at several summer camps for young athletes.
Journalistic experience: Three and a half years of studies and about a year of journalistic work experience.
Writing skills (English): I have not written professional texts in English.
Data and graphic skills: I have visualized data before (in Flourish, Datawrapper, Infogram etc.), in maps and charts etc. I feel quite comfortable with those tools, but I still want to improve my skills.

I use other programming languages: I don´t really use them, but I have worked with html and css during my bachelor studies.
Audio, video, editing and publishing skills: During my studies I felt comfortable editing audio (Hindenburg) and video (Premiere Pro). It was quite long ago, and I want to improve those skills. I also edit photos in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Special interests/knowledge relevant for research/investigative journalism: I have studied physical therapy for one year, so I have some knowledge in medicine. Besides that I´m deeply involved in the world of sports on different levels. I also enjoy nature a lot and therefore have an interest in covering challanges connected to climate change.
Of course I my knowledge of how things work in Sweden might be useful. My connections in Estonia might also be useful. Furthermore, through my career in orienteering and trail running I have gotten many international contacts who can be useful.
I think I am quite good att visualizing data, and I am good with maps.
I do a little bit of photography.
Other skills/hobbies: I love all kinds of endurance sports and outdoor activities, but I mostly practice orienteering and trail running.
I think I will be able to support my fellow students with: To begin with, I´m happy to help you with any questions you have regarding how things work in Gothenburg or Sweden in general. I have been a coordinator in an investigation before, so I can help with that, if needed. I have several international contacts that might be of use, for example in Sweden, Estonia, Ukraine and Belarus.
I like to think that I am relaxed and positive. I hope to bring good energy to the groups I am working in.
