My names is Yuliia, I am 23 years old. My home country is Ukraine, I come from city Lviv. This is great old city on the West part of country. I have travelled a lot around Ukraine and also lived and worked in capital of UA Kyiv.
A month ago I moved to Sweden and now I live in a Gothenburg, in the district Högsbo.
I am great in Ukrainian language (mother tongue). As well my English is B2.
Academic background
I obtained a bachelor degree in International Journalism at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. I finished my studying in 2021.
Work Background
2021 – 2022 I worked as political journalist for the Ukrainian media ESPRESO.
2019 – Journalist in media “Zaborona” (internship)
2018 – 2021 I was a freelancer journalist for Ukrainian medias, I worked with topics of culture.
As well previous year I have taught journalism for teens. We also have an own website with their materials in different journalistic genres 🙂

My speaking English need more practice. So if you want to improve speaking as well, tell me and we do it together.
Data and graphic skills: I have used Exel like regular user, but no super skills. As well I haven’t used any programming languages.
I worked with editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro and publishing news on website based on WordPress.
Special interests/knowledge relevant for research/investigative journalism: I’m into political and military situation in Ukraine. Now I more work with first issues (work of government) like freelancer for Ukrainian media. As well now my friends work like war correspondents and newsmakers or they are soldiers, so if you want we may communicate together through ZOOM about issues you are interested in.
Other skills/hobbies: I have been playing for 5 years at the theatre. That gave me a good humanitarian education and world-view. As well I’m investigator in Ukrainian culture. I discover Ukrainian national clothes, songs of Ukrainian ancestry and history of UA. As well I have travelled a lot around different UA cities and villages with expeditions. I’m into that cultural investigations more than 7 years, so I have a lot of knowledge which can share.
I think I will be able to support my fellow students with: topics related to Russian invasion in Ukraine, situation in Ukraine, as well I can help with writing in journalistic genres like news, interview and reportage. My experience is modest, but still I have it and open to speak and work together.
